On this episode of the Union Safety Net, we learn about unique challenges faced by federal public service workers who work in isolated posts. What unique challenges do they face as Northern workers? To learn more about their unique challenges, we are joined by a union elected official and two federal public service personnel: Josée-Anne Spirito: Regional Executive Vice President for PSAC-North Region, is a nurse by trade of over 15 years and she's joining us from Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories; Birch Howard: over 21 years as a Park Warden for Parks Canada, member of the Parks Canada bargaining team and is joining us from Whitehorse, Yukon; and finally, Samuel Bourget: ORMS Coordinator for 19 years at the RCMP, based out of Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories. Samuel is also a proud member of USJE.
